For clients
Accounts, briefs, quotes, matching, money: the questions clients ask most.
Getting started
Do I need an account to start? No. Brief the consultant at matchii.ai/start first; register when the brief is ready and it attaches to your account. See Quick start.
I represent an agency. Do I register here? No. Agencies apply and go through verification. See Verification.
How do I sign in? Password, a one-time code sent to your email, or Google. All three reach the same account.
Briefs
How long does the conversation take? About ten minutes. The consultant asks about eleven things and files the brief once it has enough, or when you ask it to. See Your first brief.
Can I edit a brief after submitting it? Not from the page. While it shows Being scoped, tell Matchii and the change is made with you. Once offers are out to agencies the brief is fixed; changes after matching go through the milestone plan. See Create a brief.
My brief has said “Being scoped” for a while. What is happening? Pricing usually takes under a day. If it is longer, Matchii is likely checking scope or price with you and will be in touch; the same label also shows when a brief comes back from matching for a rethink. See Brief schema for every label.
Can I have several briefs at once? Yes. Each is priced and matched on its own. Split unrelated work into separate briefs.
Which category should I pick? The one that carries most of the work. The consultant sets it; ask to change it if it is wrong. See Categories.
Quotes and tiers
What are the three tiers? Essential, Professional and Premium: three price points for the same scope. The tier sets the budget the engagement runs on and therefore the fee agencies are offered. See Quick start.
Do I need credits before I brief? No. Pricing needs no credits. Buy them before you choose a tier. See Credits.
What is a credit worth? The rate on your account, shown in your wallet. It is set per account, not published as a single figure.
Matching
Can I choose a specific agency? You choose among the agencies that accepted your brief. Matchii decides which agencies are offered it, best fit first. See Accept / decline.
How long until I hear back? Most briefs have standing bids within the first 48 hours. Offers go out in three rounds over up to a week. See Scoring & ranking.
What if no agency accepts? After the last round the hold comes back to your wallet and Matchii contacts you about price or scope before anything goes out again.
Does the agency see my price? No. It sees the fee it would be paid, the category, urgency, delivery and description. It sees your contact details only once you choose it.
Delivery and money
When does the agency get paid? When you accept a milestone. Accepting releases that milestone’s tranche, nothing else does. See Acceptance and release.
Who writes the milestone plan? You do, by hand or generated from the brief, and you confirm it. After that, changes to deliverables, criteria, dates or shares need the agency’s approval. See Milestones and escrow.
The work is not right. What do I do? Ask for changes on the submission, against the plan’s acceptance criteria. No money moves, and the agency resubmits. Unlimited rounds.
Can I cancel? Either side can ask. Released tranches stay released; unreleased escrow returns to your wallet.
Where do I talk to the agency? The brief thread, for anything on the record, and any room the agency shares with you, for the day-to-day. See Progress and messages.
